Bollywood celebrities react to Vidyut Jamwal and Kunal Kemmu's tweet on unfair treatment by Disney + Hotstar

Vidyut Jammwal whose film Khuda Haafiz was announced, expressed his displeasure on social media by saying, “A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It’s a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES.”

Meanwhile, Kunal Kemmu whose film Lootcase was announced expressed his views without naming the streaming platform. "Izzat aur pyaar maanga nahi kamaya jaata hai. Koi na de toh usse hum chhote nahi hote. Bas maidaan khelne ke liye barabar de do chhalaang hum bhi oonchi laga sakte hai (Respect and love can never be asked for, only earned. If someone doesn’t give it to you, it doesn’t make you small. Just give us an equal playing field, we’ll show you how high we can leap),” he wrote in his tweet.

Soon after, several Bollywood celebrities came in support of the two actors and expressed their views on the same. Here's what they said:

“Every film is made with a lot of love, a lot of sweat & a lot people giving it their all. Its only fair to want a little respect, its only fair to expect an invitation, its only fair to have at least been intimated. But then, sometimes even life is not fair. keep walking my friend,” wrote Genelia D’Souza.

“More power to you brother Vidyut .. will watch your film the day it releases @VidyutJammwal.” tweeted Randeep Hooda.

“It’s a shame ... the ones in power will keep perpetuating a f***ed up system that nurtures a select few & empowers them while disempowering and marginalising the majority . This is perpetuated not just by producers but studios / platforms, directors & actors. #bollywoodnepotism,” tweeted director Onir.

"Yes it does. Sadly & Rightly as Simon & Garfunkel said-After changes upon changes we are still the same. Keep fighting buddy. We’ve never met. But I feel what you’re saying. Stay strong," wrote director Kunal Kohli.

Several stars also stood in support of Kunal Kemmu:

“Bro ... you are super talented ... frm day one ... and will look forward to your work . Keep marching forward,” tweeted Amit Sadh.

“More power to you brother! Looking forward to #Lootcase,” tweeted Pulkit Samrat.

“Fair & Lovely se FAIR toh hata diya...Par yeh system kab FAIR hoga???,” tweeted Vikrant Massey
