BTS' RM reunites with Korean musician eAeon on heart-wrenching track 'Don't' from the album 'Fragile'

Grammy-nominated South Korean group BTS' leader RM has reunited with Korean singer-songwriter eAeon on a beautiful track 'Don't' from his studio album 'Fragile' that released on April 30, 2021.

BTS' RM reunites with Korean musician eAeon on heart-wrenching track 'Don't' from the album 'Fragile'

The music video showcases the couple in love, sharing happy memories, but there comes a time when they slowly drift apart. Along with the separation comes pain and loneliness. "Don’t leave / So much would collapse / Don’t destroy us / It’ll break you too Don’t, don’t leave / Don’t throw away our everything Please, don’t," eAeon croons about not wanting to separate from his partner.

The song focuses on the sentiment that even if the pair grows apart, the hope is that his partner doesn't erase everything about him. The sentiment here is not to erase the love that they had and the person his partner knew and let everything fade away gradually as they move on. The yearning for the loved one to stay as RM's words hit hard as he compares the colours of waves to that of a relationship - how it was before and after they parted ways. He uses nature to depict the fragility of the relationships, uses direction and seasons as a metaphor to describe how life changes and talks about the moon which brings comfort and light. "What color are waves / White as snow when they break / Did you survive the drift / You can’t stay here in my cobblestone house / Turn on the moon / Don't leave my little chimney / Don't take away the name only you know / I don't need magic / I hate any wildflowers / Don't be new / Just be here / Stay here, don't go."

The R&B/ Soul track is penned and composed by eAeon and RM. The lyrics are heart-wrenching and powerful from eAeon and RM who journal their loss, sadness. eAeon's soothing voice blended with RM's husky vocals makes this soothing collaboration. Previously, RM and eAeon worked together on the track 'Badbye' in 2018 for RM's mixtape 'mono'.  The 11-track album is now out.

New music is coming from Grammy-nominated BTS. The 21st-century pop icons will release their new single 'Butter' at 12 am EDT on May 21, 2021.
