Amrita Rao adds a fun twist to the viral ‘Jal Lijiye’ meme

Social media comes up with new meme trends every now and then. The current meme that is gaining popularity is actor Amrita Rao's 'jal lijiye' line from the 2006 film, Vivah. The meme featuring Amrita Rao offering a glass of water has gone viral and has sparked a range of memes and jokes.

Now, Amrita Rao herself has recreated the scene in an Instagram reel but with a twist. In the video, Amrita appears with a glass of water and kindly offers ‘jal’. She then exits from the frame and returns with a bucket of water which she throws toward the camera and playfully says, "Aur? Jal chahiye? Kabse bol rahi hoon, ‘jal lijiye’. Naha lijiye, happy Holi (Do you want water? I have been offering water for so long. Go and take a bath. Happy Holi)!”


Amrita Rao made her Bollywood debut in 2002 with the film Ab Ke Baras. She then went on to star in films like Ishq Vishq, Main Hoon Na, Masti, among others. She was last seen in the 2019 film Thackeray starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
