Mohanlal goes bald in the first look of his directorial debut Barroz

Mohanlal who has entertained the audience as an actor for decades took charge behind the camera in 2021 with the film Barroz. The superstar's directorial debut went on floors in March last year. The actor will also be starring in the film and on the occasion of the New Year; he dropped the first look from the film.

In the first look, Mohanlal is seen in a completely new avatar with a bald head and thick moustache, and beard. He looks majestic as she is seen sitting on a throne-like golden seat.

Sharing the first look poster, Mohanlal wrote, "Here's a toast to another year that rises before us.  Wishing all good fortunes and prosperity upon each one of you! May this year turn out to be one of the most treasured time frames of your life!"


Mohanlal plays the titular role of Barroz- a mythological character, a genie, who guards Vasco Da Gama's treasure. The film which is being shot in 3D will have significant use of animation and VFX technology. The film is based on the story written by Jijo Punnoose who is the creator of the iconic Malayalam movie My Dear Kuttichathan, the first 3D movie from India. Spanish actors Paz Vega and Rafael Amargo and veteran Malayalam actor Prathap Pothen will be seen in pivotal roles in the film. The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvaad Cinemas.

The makers of Park Hyung Sik and Han Hyo Joo starrer upcoming Korean drama titled Happiness has revealed an intriguing new poster. On October 1, the drama released a mysterious poster that contains a scenery of an apartment where darkness has fallen.
