Samantha Ruth Prabhu reviews Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi; calls it a masterpiece

Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi was released in theatres on Friday, February 25. The film marks the first collaboration between Alia Bhatt and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film hit the theatres after a long wait owing to the pandemic and the wait has proven to be worthy. The film is seeing people flocking to the theatres and the Housefull board being displayed at theatres.

Netizens have also been taking to social media to praise the film. Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu also praised the film and Alia Bhatt's performance. She wrote on her Instagram Stories, "#GangubaiKathiawadi a masterpiece!! @aliabhatt words aren't enough to describe your performance. Every single dialogue and expression will be etched in my mind forever."

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt was seen travelling across the city of Mumbai on the release day of her film to witness the reactions of the audience personally. From theatre visits to mall visits to travelling around the city in a bus, the actress spent the entire day observing people's reactions to the film. On Friday night, she also visited Mumbai's iconic single screen- Gaiety Galaxy- and was welcomed with loud cheering and applause.
