Ranbir Kapoor says girlfriend Alia Bhatt 'deserves every bit of love' for Gangubai Kathiawadi: 'She just whacked it out of the park

Ranbir Kapoor on Wednesday said that his girlfriend Alia Bhatt deserves all the love and praise she received for her recent hit Gangubai Kathiawadi. Ranbir added Alia “whacked it out of the park” with her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s latest directorial.

Ranbir told NDTV, “Alia just whacked it out of the park in Gangubai. I am so proud of her. I have seen how much she gave to that film in the process of making it. And she deserves every bit of success that’s coming her way, every bit of love that’s coming her way. I am dying to see RRR. I’ve been busy shooting so I haven’t got the opportunity yet.”

Earlier, Alia Bhatt disclosed how she prepared to play Gangubai. She told a media portal that she is a very imaginative person. So sometimes, the route she takes to feel anything for any character is that she truly tries to imagine what she is going through. She also mentioned that before each scene Sanjay Leela Bhansali and her would have a lot of conversations. And, those led her to do everything that she did in Gangubai.

Gangubai Kathiawadi was one of the most anticipated films. It has its share of controversies and delays. According to reports, Gangubai Kathiawadi has earned Rs 108 crore in its three-week run.
