Nawazuddin Siddiqui takes a dig at massive praises for RRR, KGF 2: ‘When a film is successful, everyone joins in and celebrates it far more than it really deserves’

South films have been witnessing global box office successes. Following the phenomenal successes of Pushpa: The Rise, RRR and now KGF: Chapter 2, there’s more demand in North belt as well due to which filmmakers working in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada industries have begun dubbing their films in Hindi in order to appeal to the masses. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is currently seen in Tiger Shroff's film Heropanti 2, was recently asked if there is any fear in Bollywood given the box office supremacy of these films.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui takes a dig at massive praises for RRR, KGF 2 ‘When a film is successful, everyone joins in and celebrates it far more than it really deserves’

"When a film is successful, everyone joins in and celebrates it far more than it really deserves. Similarly, if a film does not perform well at the box office, it receives more criticism than it deserves. This is analogous to fashion; if a Bollywood film becomes a great success, all of these topics will change. I feel this is just a passing fad,” Nawazuddin told NDTV.

Two weeks after its April 14 release, the Kannada film KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash is approaching the Rs 1,000 crore milestone after SS Rajamouli’s RRR achieve the same milestone in April 2022.

Meanwhile, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will next star in Tiku Weds Sheru which marks Avneet Kaur’s first lead role in Bollywood. It is produced under Kangana Ranaut’s production.
